This Week Happenings

Hyde Park, London, Ontario

The first of the week was really hot, humidex 35-40.  I wasn't out very much, but I did get to Hyde Park to see what was there.  I saw a Downy Woodpecker, some Mallards flying over, Barn Swallows, American Goldfinches, Song Sparrows and American Robins.

This dragonfly below, I saw a few of them.  I can't find the ID. 




Lots of grasshoppers jumping around.

Mixture of Stuff

August 23, 2017 - sunny, slight breeze

Hyde Park Rail Trail - It was a nice morning for a walk.  I walked halfway around the pond.

This is the only butterfly I saw...not many around.

I took photos of these grasshoppers...they were jumping all over the place and crickets were too.  I saw two species of grasshoppers..maybe three.

This one below are the ones I remember as a kid.  It's in the centre of the photo with the head near the top.

This one below might be the same as the above.  It was brown as the other was green. It's in the centre facing right.
