Labour Day Weekend Away

September 1, 2018 - Forester's Falls, Ontario

I was in Forester's Falls along the Ottawa River for a family wedding.  I didn't get a lot of photos of wildlife. The Ottawa River is very wide here.  It was hazy and a very hot day.

Here are some photos of the Ottawa River.

The only gull I saw were Ring-billed Gulls.  I also saw a White-breasted Nuthatch, Blue Jays and some Wild Turkey.

Very few butterflies.

Clouded Sulphur

These photos are in Renfrew, Ontario.  I was out for a walk in the evening.  The sun was starting to set.

Fields

A lot of Milkweed Plants

Sumac

I was fighting the sun taking photos of the bird below.  It was far away in a tree.  I saw two of them. My guess, I'm going to say it's a nonbreeding male Scarlet Tanager.

I also saw Turkey Vultures and American Goldfinches.

September 4, 2018 - Kingston, Ontario

Kingston has a very nice waterfront. Lots of Ring-billed Gulls and Double-crested Cormorants.
